       Weekly Community Voting Period:  Opens on Mondays, 12:00 a.m. CT, closes on Sundays, 11:59 p.m. CT for previous week's entries.

Eligibility:  USA, non-professional, 18+ years old, parent or legal guardian of the child depicted in the entry, one entry (album of up to six photos) per household per eligible child per week

                   Eligible photo: unpublished, taken by entrant, may not have won any prize or award, must have been taken within one year of entry.

                   Eligible child in photo: between three (3) months to eight (8) years

Prizes:  Fifty-two (52) $250 checks (one weekly for 52 weeks) - Reader's Choice winners.

             One (1) $7,000.00 check to the editorially-chosen winner at the contest end.

Description:  Does your child have the qualities of Parents Kid of the Year? Enter eligible photos of your child portraying the characteristics of a Parents Magazine kid for a chance to win $7000 or 52 weekly chances to win $250.   The weekly winners are determined by community vote so tell all your family and friends. The editorially-chosen winner will be selected from all entries by qualified judges. Reader's Choice weekly winners will have no bearing on the selection of the editorial-chosen winner. All entries, regardless if they are a Reader's Choice weekly winner or not, will have equal chance to be selected as the editorial-chosen winner.

Personal note:  Parents conducts many unique photo contests throughout the year - more than I ever realized and many are multi-week contests, some with weekly prizes leading up to final grand prizes.  Having discovered this recently, I will begin checking the site more often to compile the contest details and post the listings before the weekly portion of the contests begin.
